Will a treadmill fit under my sofa or bed?

How to measure the space under your sofa or bed, and which KTQ treadmills and walking pads fold flat enough to slide underneath.

Updated 30 October 2026

Short on space? Some treadmills fold flat enough to slide under a sofa or bed. Here's how to check before you buy.

Step 1: measure the gap

Measure from the floor to the lowest point of the underside of your sofa or bed frame, not the cushions. Check a few places, because legs and cross bars vary. Then measure the width and depth of the space.

Step 2: compare with the folded sizes

Model Folded height Folded size Fits under
3 Series walking pad 11 cm 122 × 59 × 11 cm Most sofas and many beds
1 Series treadmill 11 cm 114 × 61 × 11 cm Most sofas and many beds
2 Series treadmill Folds upright 50 × 60 × 124 cm Stands against a wall
4 Series treadmill Folds upright 149 cm tall, 73 cm wide, 26 cm deep Stands against a wall

Leave a little extra room so it slides in and out easily.

Step 3: think about getting it in and out

The 3 Series has built-in wheels, so you can tilt it and roll it into place. The 1 and 3 Series weigh about 25 kg (the 4 Series is 40.5 kg), so slide them along the floor rather than lifting them.

No space underneath?

The 2 and 4 Series fold upright and stand against a wall instead, so they take up a small patch of floor.
